(Non)Fight of the Day: Norton v. A. Downey



April 16th, 2006. It's the second period in a match between Montreal and Ottawa. Montreal's Aaron Downey squares off against Ottawa's Brad Norton in the fight that changed the NHL forever ...

OK, maybe not. After a lot of posturing and preening (and Downey falling down), the linesmen step in and just put an end to this 'showdown' after it was obvious that nobody wanted to throw a punch. Brad Norton looks like he wanted to crawl into a hole as he went to the penalty box.

Both 'fighters' were actually given 10-minute misconducts, probably for 'embarrassment to the game'.
