Portraits in Heroism, FanHouse Edition

Yahoo!'s Puck Daddy Greg Wyshynski is a FanHouse alum, which is why, when he puts together a Photoshop contest centered around commissioner Gary Bettman, we want to hop on board.

The guidelines from Mr. Daddy: "We're asking you to send in your drawings, paintings, Photoshops and any other electronically-submitted visual media that depict Gary Bettman in a moment of true valor and heroism."

Here's a few that myself and fellow NHL FanHouser J.P. Press have cooked up the past few days:

Bettman, Bill Daly and Boots Del Biaggio are ready to put out fires in hockey's struggling markets

J.P. goes all high art on us, serving up an interpretation of what Bettman looks like every time 'Balsillie, Jim' shows up on the call display

The blood on the boards is a nice touch. Bettman actually looks a bit like Ralphie from the Sopranos in this context no?

Okay, so Verbal Kint might be more of an anti-hero, but I caught this flick the other day and the striking resemblance to the Commish can't be missed.

J.P. with his fine art training again. A Bettman-ized version of Gustav Klimt's The Kiss is about as scary a thought as I can imagine

FanHouser Earl Sleek has a few more great entries - although he chooses to leave out the heroism part.
