The Video Clip That Got Sean Avery in Trouble
Here's the video clip that got Sean Avery into all sorts of trouble with the NHL on Tuesday. It only takes a couple of seconds to see that Avery knew exactly what he was doing, summoning the cameras in the visiting locker room in Calgary while he held court on the dating habits of his ex-girlfriend and her new beau, Calgary Flames defenseman Dion Phaneuf.

We applaud Tom Hicks for his immediate action in suspending Sean Avery. As a retiree and hockey fan for better that 55 years his actions warrants a LIFE TIME BAN FROM THE NHL.
We the fans, owners, coaches, other players, kids, the community and sposnors will and can not tolerate this conduct.We are hopeful that Gary Bettman imposes a life time ban on this undesireable.

Please, Rich, everyone has a moment in the heat of the moment. Clearly he is tainted with her persons, but in no way does it warrant a lifetime ban, moron. Now should I be ban from the internet for calling you a moron over the internet?

I'm glad to see that the NHL is responding so promptly. Unlike the NFL and NBA. I do think the punishment should fit the crime though. One game suspension is enough.

I agree w/ Chris in that anybody can say a comment like that in the heat the moment. In no way does that comment deserve a lifetime ban. Rich, I can't believe you're willing to destroy someone's career over these comment. Yes, you may not agree with what he said, but, COME ON, a lifetime ban? That's dumb!
