I had to laugh loudly at this one.
During Wednesday's Penguins-Rangers game at MSG, Ranger, um, agitator Colton Orr took a poke at Penguins captain and hockey messiah Sidney Crosby.
Pittsburgh's Eric Godard did what he felt was the right thing, immediately coming to Crosby's defense and eventually goading Orr into a fight. The video of the scrap, courtesy of HockeyFights.com:
The replay of Orr's horrifying cross-check of Crosby follows the fight. You'll be happy to know Sir Sidney is okay, as he assisted on the Penguins' first goal and later on mixed it up a bit with Orr himself (not a fight). He also didn't fall to the ice after Orr hit him, which I'm sure shocked most Rangers fans.
New York got the last laugh, winning the game in a shootout.

Horrifying cross check??? Overdramatize much? All of the hard hits on Crosby were completely legal (loved when he tried to jump by Marc Staal and landed flat on his a$$). It's called hockey. You don't want to get hit, then play tiddlywinks.
Pansy Crosby gets away with flopping, diving, and in this game, holding and tripping as well. He should get his arse knocked to the ice. Kudos to the refs for not buying any of this low-class attempts to draw a penalty. Great overall game. Great D blocking shots on both ends.
