Lost in all of the madness that was Sidney Crosby's latest efforts to a become a fighter, was an epic battle between Washington's Alexander Semin and New York's Marc Staal. Observe the glorious video:
Words fail me.
Honestly, I was waiting for him to start pulling out Staal's hair, who apparently wanted nothing to do with Semin's open-handed slaps to the back of the head. I can't decide if this is the best fight video ever, or the worst fight video ever.
Still, this leaves open the debate as to who the worst fighter in the NHL currently is. On one hand, we've seen Crosby punch a guy in the groin, and then do whatever it was he did to Brett McLean.
On the other hand, we have Semin who seems to have developed a strategy similar to the ones we all used to see in high school. You know, when Jessica tried to fight Nicole for kissing Josh behind the pop machine.

I am a woman and was embarrassed for Semin...come on guy its called punches not slaps...be a real hockey player.Now you will have to live with that for the rest of your career. By far the worst I think I have ever seen or at least up there.

Semin's my favorite player on the Caps, and still is, but that fight...that was just embarrassing.
He needs to come back and score some goals to make up for that horrendous display.
Yeah. I'm a girl, and I'm pretty sure I could've fought Staal better.

That was hilarious, he fights so weak. But Crosby tugging and jerking at McLean just showed that he was too scared to let him go to exchange punches. At least Semin did something. Crosby is getting mad that the Pens seem to be following the trend they set before his arrival, sucking it up big time with big name players. When the Devils were beating them a few weeks ago Crosby randomly headlocks Brian Gionta from behind and looked like he was expecting to get away with it. NHL Golden Child or not, he needs to grow up and play the game. His stupid little commercials are annoying too. Overrated, Overexposure.

Same thing with Crosby--He beats on a guy who is restrained already? COME ON GUYS!! YOU PLAY HOCKEY NOT PLAYGROUND FIGHT FEST. ORR fights, Bradshere fights look out there and you can find guys who fight and fight right.

Crosby a joke ....Please how many records has semin set.Why is it Semins name isnt in the top five points leaders.I believe its Malkin, Crosby and Ovechkin.Ovechkin is an animal and a talented one at that.
