Anaheim Ducks defenseman Scott Niedermayer decided to celebrate his team's 4-3 overtime win (in which he scored the game-winning goal) against the Tampa Bay Lightning by giving his stick to a young girl seated in the front row. Unfortunately, that's when the lower bowl of the Honda Center turned into the thunderdome and fists started to fly. (Video of the incident after the jump.)
In an interview immediately following the fight, Niedermayer confirmed that the stick was supposed to go to the young girl.

garauntee that the ass hats in charge won't allow NHL players to throw stuff over the glass for the fans anymore. stay classy anaheim
I guess this is the only place ugly incidents like have happenned?....knucklehead comment...it was classless act by suppossed adults..but not the 1st or last...wow...was jd [possibly there?
that was handed not thrown moron.
And we're surprised? The surprise is that this doesn't happen EVERY night. They're HOCKEY fans, ya'll...
AAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
True fans usual respect the sport they like, unlike yourself, your a joke fan!
It isn't just hockey, soccer fans are worse and fans of other pro sports are getting just as bad, haven't you ever seen a brawl break out trying to get a baseball from the person who caught it? America wonders why it's kids are violent well look at the adults at pro sports games and after championship wins, trashing the arena and the cars and streets surrounding it. American adults, grow the eff up and set a better example to our kids!
Its a freakin hockey stick, I can't imagine how much a of a dirt bag you have to be to start fighting a little girl for it, these people make me sick. I just can't imagine what it would take for me to react like that guy in the plaid shirt, have some self control man. A nice guy trying to do a nice thing for one of the young fans, and you have to go beyond ruining. SCUM OF THE EARTH!
Not only are they fighting over a stick, these people probably have more money than the average fan, after all they're in the high buck seats. Freakin' cake eaters.
Ok the stick was going to the girl he was not throuhing to the fans ,the fans need to get a life act there age i think who ever was in the fight should be thrown out for the season and be fined
Looks like the conservateves are at it again.
you're an idiot
What B/S....He even pointed at the little girl the stick was intended for before he put it over the glass. These A-hole fans that tried to take that stick should be tied to the goal as the entire Ducks team takes slap shots at them.
eliteunit1@aol.com
that would hurt a bit....
And the Ducks could use the practice
They should charge the idiot with stealing since it was rightfully the little girl's.
Usually the little kid is held up above the glass to retrieve it during the three stars ceremony. The lights should have been turned on. Niedermayer shouldn't have thrown it over the glass.
What a moron, drink in hand of course ! People suck.
Nothing but a bunch of Low Class, Drunken, THUGS!! Shouldn,t be allowed outside their homes!
to be honest Im suprised this doesnt happen everytime luongo gives his stick after he's named first star. Its not like a puck where you can cover it with one hand; a group of people can grab at a stick. They should have stopped though when Niedermayer pointed at the little girl.
I have seen the hockey crowd in a Marriott Hotel
for their kids tournament games in town, the kids were terrors in the halls, and the parents did not care, they were busy getting drunk and being rude jerks! In all they were spending money, but were very low class. I don't watch hockey.
